Looking back on the girls volleyball season, their hard work truly shines through! They’re currently on their way to getting their first state title in CCA history for volleyball. They’ve had an unbeatable season with just a couple more games to go. Jackie Clubb, the team’s head coach said: “This season has been exciting! I am so proud of all of our girls and their hard work and dedication this season.”
They have a streak this season of 43-0 and are top ranked besides the Dike New Hartford team. To cap off this excellent season they only need to win a couple more games. If they can make those games, the team will get a well deserved state title. The first in our school’s girls volleyball history! Of the 43 games they’ve played, they’ve only lost 4 sets total.
Going into their last few games the team prepares and practices vigorously. “We prepare one opponent at a time. Just focus on the game in front of us. We continue to keep working on what we do well, work on our weaknesses, and prepare for what our opponent will do against us.” says Jackie Clubb. “We wish the season did not have to come to an end but we are going to do whatever it takes to make sure that we do the best we can to end on a positive note.” continued Clubb
Finally, a shout out and send off to the seniors on the team and a toast to their hard work! Seniors Addesyn Campbell, Lexi Moran, Meg Berkland, Sophia Root, Bliss Beck, Kenadi Wood, Sam Schrage, Katie Evans, Addison Gleason, Ava Locklear, and Hannah Grabin all put in their best effort and it shows! Beck, Schrage, Gleason, Berkland, and Woods have been this season’s match starters for every game.
CCA and its community have come together over this year’s volleyball season and continue to come together. CCA wishes the girls volleyball team good luck! Go CCA!
